SecondTV Privacy Policy

Effective date 2026-10-23 Previous version 2026-10-22

Summary

  • Your channel lineup and bookmarks, watch history and Google account credentials are stored only on your device, are not sent to the developer, and can be cleared at any time in Settings.
  • Videos and channel information are loaded through YouTube API Services, and connecting a Google account (optional) grants your basic profile (name, email address, profile picture) and read-only YouTube access through Google OAuth; the App never writes anything to your YouTube account. Weather (optional) sends coordinates to Open-Meteo only if you allow location access.
  • Crash reports and usage statistics go to Google Firebase; what is sent to Firebase does not include your name, email address, Google account information, location, advertising identifier or YouTube viewing data.
  • Contact: [email protected]

SecondTV (the “App”) is an app made by Fastutle (the “Developer”). This policy explains what information the App uses, where it keeps it and when it deletes it. The App does not ask you to sign up, and the Developer does not run a server of its own.

1. Information stored only on your device

The information below is stored only on your device and is not sent to the Developer.

Information Purpose Retention
Channel lineup, bookmarks Building channels and watching again Information received from YouTube is kept for up to 30 days from the day it was received; before then it is fetched again to refresh it, or deleted.
Watch history, resume position Skipping videos you have seen, resuming playback Up to 30 days
Viewing events Building recommended channels 21 days (3 weeks) after viewing. Videos made for kids and videos watched on bookmarked channels are not recorded.
Google account credentials (tokens) Showing account channels such as your subscriptions Until you disconnect the account. Stored in the device’s keychain, for this device only.

You can delete this information at any time with “Clear watch history” (시청 기록 지우기), “Clear saved channel list” (저장된 방송 목록 지우기) and “Disconnect Google account” (Google 계정 연결 해제) in the App’s settings. Deleting the App also deletes all information on the device.

2. Connecting a Google account (optional)

If you connect a Google account, the App requests the following permissions through Google OAuth: your basic profile (name, email address, profile picture) and read-only access to your YouTube account (youtube.readonly).

  • With this permission the App loads your subscribed channels, subscription feed, your playlists and liked videos and shows them as channels.
  • The App does not write or change anything in your YouTube account.
  • Account information is not sent to the Developer and is not sent to analytics tools.
  • Disconnecting in Settings revokes the token and deletes the account data stored on the device. You can also remove the App’s access in your Google security settings.
  • The App’s use and transfer of YouTube data obtained through the Google account link comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. YouTube API Services

The App uses YouTube API Services to load video and channel information and plays videos with the YouTube player. By using the App you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Information processed by YouTube and Google is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Location (optional)

To show the weather on the idle screen, the App uses the device’s location only while you are using the App and only if you allow it. Location is used only to get the weather: the App sends the coordinates to the Open-Meteo weather service to receive the current weather. Location is not stored and is not sent to analytics tools. If you do not allow it, you can use every feature except the weather.

5. Information for improving app quality

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to fix errors and understand how features are used.

  • Collected: crash information, performance information, feature usage events (for example, changing channels, bookmarks), device model, OS version, approximate country (based on IP address), Firebase app instance ID.
  • Not collected: name, email address, Google account information, location, advertising identifier (IDFA), and YouTube data such as the videos, channels and search terms you watched or used.
  • This information is not used to identify you or to track you by combining it with information from other apps or websites, and it is not used for advertising.
  • Retention follows the Firebase settings (Analytics up to 14 months, Crashlytics up to 90 days).

6. Disclosure to third parties

The Developer does not sell your information or provide it to third parties. The only information involved is what the services listed above (Google and YouTube, Open-Meteo, Firebase) process under their own policies.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will announce it on this page together with the effective date.
